Device-local progress

Journey selections, answers, bookmarks, misses, scores, unfinished practice, and display settings are stored only on this device in this browser using local storage. Clearing browser data or changing browsers or devices may remove or hide that progress. Progress does not currently sync across browsers or devices.

For product-performance and learner-experience measurement, qualifying 10-question ordinary-practice sessions use a random first-party browser key and random session ID. The site records only the practice mode, intended size, start and completion state, timestamps, and whether an authorized QA session must be excluded. This measurement does not use an account or cross-device identity. It does not transmit answer selections, answer text, question-by-question history, Journey progress, names, email addresses, phone numbers, CDL numbers, advertising IDs, or fingerprint-derived identity. Records are automatically removed after 35 days.

The browser key supports anonymous same-browser return measurement only. It does not identify a verified person, connect browsers or devices, or survive cleared browser storage. Seven-day return rates include only cohorts with a complete seven-day observation window. An unfinished session is reported as non-completed only after seven days without activity; this reporting rule does not remove the browser-local resume option.

Question notes and manual review flags also remain device-local and are not transmitted to the Owner. Anonymous Challenge a Friend records store only the challenge configuration, scores, completion state, referral depth, and first-party challenge events for 30 days. Anonymous desktop News-rail measurement stores only the internal source page, page type, article metadata, rail position, contextual-match status, and event time for up to 180 days.

This release uses no advertising, third-party analytics, payment processing, remote feedback submission, or unnecessary personal-data collection.
