What the transaction completed
TA Services announced October 6 that it acquired the assets and operations of Carmen Pacheco Transportation, LLC and Interload Forwarding, LLC. The acquired businesses serve customers in the United States, Mexico and Canada, with established operations in El Paso and Laredo.
The transaction includes trucking assets, five warehouses totaling more than 550,000 square feet and an approximately 10-acre truck yard. The businesses provide local and long-haul transportation, warehousing, cross-docking, consolidation and deconsolidation, brokerage and customs-related services.
What it means for drivers and freight teams
For cross-border drivers and operations teams, the practical change is ownership and network integration at two major Texas gateways. TA Services says the entire CPT and ILF team and members of the founding Ibarra family will remain involved, but the announcement does not provide route assignments, dispatch changes, pay terms, benefit changes or hiring targets.
FreightWaves reported that public FMCSA records list the two carriers with a combined 133 power units and 123 drivers. Those figures are registry snapshots, not a guarantee of the post-transaction fleet or workforce, so drivers should rely on direct company communications for current assignments and employment details.
What remains undisclosed
The companies did not disclose the financial terms. TA Services described the acquisition as completed and said it adds capacity and facilities, but it did not publish an integration schedule, customer-transition plan or equipment rebranding timeline.
No layoff, terminal closure, pay reduction or independent-contractor conversion was announced. The statement that the entire team will remain involved is a company representation; this article does not treat it as a contractual employment guarantee.
