What Roehl announced
Roehl Transport says a new pay package will take effect October 4, 2026, raising total compensation by about 7% to 11% depending on a driver's experience and fleet. The package is announced and scheduled; it had not yet taken effect when this article was published.
The company told Trucking Dive that mileage rates will rise by two to three cents per mile and that several accessorial payments will also increase. Roehl's official recruiting site identifies the change as its second driver-pay increase of 2026.
Who is included
The reported company-driver increase covers refrigerated, flatbed, van, curtainside and dedicated fleets. Roehl also said owner-operators and lease operators will receive a significant increase, but the public announcement did not provide a percentage or a complete rate schedule for those contractors.
The highest percentage is not a guaranteed raise for every driver. Actual changes depend on fleet, experience, mileage, accessorial work and the driver's compensation plan. Drivers should review their individual settlement or written pay notice for the amount that applies to them.
Driver context
Roehl's recruiting site says drivers with at least one year of experience averaged $1,435 per week as of September 2026 and that the top half averaged $1,625 per week. Those are company recruiting figures, not guaranteed earnings or an independent wage survey.
When comparing jobs, drivers should look beyond cents per mile to guaranteed pay, average weekly miles, detention and stop pay, home time, benefits, equipment and whether quoted earnings describe an average, a top group or a guaranteed minimum.
