Which trucks are included

NHTSA campaign 26V631 covers 3,096 selected 2025–2027 Mack Pioneer and 2026–2027 Mack Anthem trucks. The campaign was reported to the agency on October 1, 2026, and Mack identifies it as recall SC0501.

The model and year alone do not prove that a truck is included. NHTSA scheduled affected VINs to become searchable on October 8, so fleets should check each truck by VIN through the agency or an authorized Mack dealer.

The hazard and free remedy

NHTSA says the intake and grille bezels may not have been fitted correctly to their mounting surfaces. A bezel that detaches while the truck is moving can become a road hazard and increase crash risk for other road users.

Dealers will inspect the intake and grille bezels, replace them and install cable ties as necessary at no charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2026.

What drivers and fleets should do

Check the VIN in NHTSA's recall lookup and contact a Mack dealer for parts and scheduling. Drivers should include the visible grille and intake surrounds in normal walk-around checks and report loose, missing or vibrating trim through fleet maintenance procedures.

The public campaign record does not carry a do-not-drive or park-outside flag. That does not cancel the recall or replace dealer instructions for a specific VIN.
